Balance Fitness Is More Than A Balancing Act
With so many products out in the marketplace claiming to be the balance product du jour, how are you to know which one is right for you? It may come down to two things: simple economics and your level of fitness. How much can you afford and what level of fitness you’re at are good starting points when shopping for balance products.
A balance fitness workout is an important part to any exercise routine and doesn’t require an expensive gym membership or large space. As an addition to an overall personal training program, it will help you feel the difference in your lower body strength.
The affordable and portable Balance Disc is constructed of strong latex free vinyl. It measures thirteen inches in diameter and features a knobby surface on one side while the flip side is smooth. You can inflate the disc to your desired level. The more air that gets inflated the less stability you will have, while less air will have more stability control. Inflating the disc is easy with a hand pump or the more expensive electric pump.
At the other end of the spectrum is the unique Vew-Do Balance Board Zone Balance Pro. The innovative and hip looking board is more expensive than the Balance and not necessarily for the beginner exerciser or the very de-conditioned. The board features a flat, oval riding deck with foam foot placement comfort pads. It comes with a three-rock progression system – one roller, one wobble and one teeter. It has a super wide platform making it a comfortable ride and especially fun for athletes rehabbing injuries. If you are just starting out on a balance fitness program than this board might be too aggressive for your level, yet it can be a benchmark to aspire to once your strength, stamina and balance increases.
